Our 5 day meet in 2005 coincides with I.F.O.S. at Portsmouth.

The site is a large flat field & makes a good base to "work" from, with a park & ride approx. 3-4 miles away on M27 at J12--Cosham. This is a vibrant & exciting festival, with something of interest for all the family.

If you have not visited the festival before, it is the greatest Festival Fleet ever assembled, including Tall Ships, war ships, working boats & yachts. There is live music, street theatre, interactive exhibitions, military displays, art exhibitions & traditional crafts. International food & drink available. Historic Dockyard attractions, model ship & boat displays, parades & childrens activities.

To find site...
From Southampton M27 you need to come off at Junction 11 and go back onto the motorway heading for Southampton for about a third of a mile and come off at Junction 10, this will take you onto the A32, heading for Wickham. At the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit Alton.

Carry on down this road for about a mile, go past the Roebuck Public House on the left, take the next right turn into Heath Road. Follow this road until the Bold Forester Public House, turn right into Forester Road. At the end of this road turn left into Maybush Lane (not signed) & look for DDA signs

From M27 Portsmouth come off at junction 10 and follow above.

Lovely site on the edge of Dartmoor National Park with its numerous attractions including walking, pony trekking, hangliding and letterboxing.

Plenty of places to visit such as Lydford Gorge(suitable footware needed), White Lady Waterfalls and scary Devil's Caoldron, together with Morwellam Quay.

The Pub serve excellent food if required.

We stayed at this site for Easter 2004 and 2005 when we had the use of the Skittles Alley for 4 nights for skittles and get togethers.

What an idyllic weekend..

The site is a field over a bridge at the back of Witherington Farm. Surrounded by fields and horses on one side and a gentle, shallow river to the other.

We usually hold our Teddy Bears Picnic here. Being a bare field we have to make our own amusement.. in the past this has included childrens' picnic, duck races, craft sailing competitions, men on giant rubber rings and of course a good old sing song with Gordon on his guitar.

Witherington Farm also has stables and a fishing river (you won't see the men all day!)

To find site... On main road from Ringwood to Salisbury turn off at traffic lights by The Bull Public House.
Continue through Downton, over bridge, turn left up Barford Lane.... quite a way along, through the countryside... Keep going... Witherington Farm on left... and over the bridge.
